Hello there!
I am Sarah Williamson,
I was born and raised here in Colorado, and while I might have the tendencies of an indoor cat, my love for Colorado is as vast as the Rocky Mountains. I'm a proud mama to four wild-hearted children who fuel the passion behind my work. When I am not at a birth I love to go thrifting, play roller derby, settle in with a good book, and mess around with herbal remedies and concoctions.
My journey into the magical world of birth began with my beautifully peaceful birth experience in the comfort of my home. What started as a fascination quickly evolved into a deeper calling. I've been unofficially doula-ing for friends and family for years, and that passion led me to become a doula in a more official capacity. This work holds a big piece of my heart, and I pour my whole self into ensuring the best birth experience for those in my care.
Working as a doula is a privilege and an honor that has given me a bigger glimpse of the fullness of my calling. I'm currently on the exciting path to becoming a Certified Professional Midwife, studying at The Midwives College of Utah. My philosophy on birth is simple – trust the wisdom of the body, and you'll find yourself on a journey to an empowered birth. Your pregnancy and birth are the beginning of your parenting origin story, and feeling empowered in your choices is essential.
As your doula, I'm here to support YOUR birth experience, not impose my ideas. Every path that leads to pregnancy is different and as a result, no two families are the same. I hope to serve you with compassion and situational nuance that honors your unique story and family. To me, birth and social justice are deeply entwined; supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ families is a privilege and an honor.
Let's embark on this incredible journey together! I can't wait to meet you!
